Kim Khalida Bech

Hello there, I’m Kim Bech. Also known as Khalida (my dance name, meaning ‘forever’)

I’m a multi-award winning belly dance performer and online teacher, born in Belgium, based in Germany.

About fifteen years into my performance career, I’ve had to find a way to overcome chronic pain from an old spinal injury, using the power of gentle movement and strength/mobility work.

Because of this I firmly believe that healthy movement and joyful creativity can be learnt by ANYONE, at ANY AGE.

My inspirations are my ongoing studies in Chinese and Korean Martial Arts (Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan, Taekwondo and Haidong Gumdo) combined with my dance and movement experience from the past 20 years.

To share what I have learned, and am learning still today, I’ve created an ONLINE BOOST PROGRAM for dancers of all ages, all levels, all styles.

Movement quality and pain-free dancing is achievable for everyone.

This is why my online programs for dancers focus not only on dance technique, but also on gaining strength, mobility, and (pain-free!) movement fluidity in daily life.

Get a taste of how it feels to study with me via my Blogs, Youtube Tutorials, Instagram REELS and Free FB Live Taster Classes

You can join me live or via recordings (or a mix of both!), from anywhere in the world.

Contact me if you have any questions at all about studying with me online.

It is never too late.

“Looking back, I was a baby dancer when I took my first class with Khalida. I had been taking classes for several years and figured I pretty much knew everything there was to know. Boy, was I wrong :-)

Khalida’s classes are a fun mixture of dance, technique, conditioning (ouch!), styling and music/cultural background. She was the first teacher who encouraged me to take workshops and study with as much teachers as I possibly can. She introduced me to the local bellydance community I love so much today. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be the dancer I am today if it wasn’t for her.

Since she moved to Germany, I can’t take weekly classes with her anymore, but I still try to catch every opportunity I can to study with her. After every class, I come home with tons of inspiration and motivation! And despite her busy schedule, she always takes the time to answer any questions I may have. I consider her my coach, role model and friend.

So if you ever have the chance to study with her, don’t hesitate! I’m sure you’ll love her right away!”
